My work sits across information technology, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, business strategy, academic research, and aviation. In practice that has meant writing Python that speaks industrial protocols, raising money and running a company, teaching adults their first computer class, and sitting ground school exams — often in the same season.

What I care about most right now is defensive security engineering: network and cloud visibility, OT/ICS environments where a bad scan can stop a production line, and AI tooling that helps defenders more than it helps attackers. The leadership research runs underneath all of it, because most security failures I've seen were organizational before they were technical.

Industrial network discovery and protocol fingerprinting

Finds assets on an industrial network and identifies what each one is actually speaking, across Modbus, S7comm, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, BACnet, OPC UA, RDP, VNC, and HTTP. Built for environments where you cannot simply hammer every port and hope nothing falls over.

What I'm working on this season.

Extending the industrial discovery tooling with safer probe logic and better protocol coverage. Writing up doctoral research on authentic leadership. Continuing aviation coursework.
